WA: 4 year old shoots youth in car

A four-year-old boy has shot a 16-year-old youth while playing with a gun in a car
in outback Western Australia.

Police say the accident happened near the remote Tairrkarli (pron: Chickarlie) community
145 kilometres north-west of Warburton around noon yesterday.

They say the teenager received shotgun wounds to his legs and is in a stable condition
in hospital in Kalgoorlie.

Police from Laverton are travelling to Tairrkarli to investigate the incident.
