NSW: Snow report for New South Wales, Saturday August 21

SYDNEY, Aug 21 AAP - The New South Wales snow report:

FORECAST: A fine but cold day with light to moderate south-west to south-east winds.
Outlook: Sunday: Fine, Monday: Fine, Tuesday: fine.

CONDITIONS: A dusting of snow overnight has added to an excellent cover.

PERISHER: 25 lifts operating.

SMIGGINS: 12 lifts.

BLUE COW: eight lifts.

GUTHEGA: four lifts.

THREDBO: all lifts operating.

CHARLOTTE PASS: all lifts operating.

SELWYN: no report.

CROSS-COUNTRY CONDITIONS: Nordic shelter was groomed on Thursday. Learners Loop and the
2.5, five, 7.5 and 10 km loops were also groomed and have good cover. The Smiggins two km and
four km loops also have good cover but are thin in areas. Kosciuszko Road has excellent cover,
while the Wheatley and Porcupine links also have good cover and were groomed last Saturday.
Piper Link was packed on August 10 and is thin in areas.

ROAD CONDITIONS: Kosciuszko Road is open to Perisher; Guthega Road is also open; The Alpine
Way is open to Thredbo with icy stretches from Dead Horse Gap to Pilot Lookout which is open
to Leatherbarrel Creek; The Snowy Mountains Highway is open but there was still some fog on
the road abut 8am today. Kiandra to Mt Selwyn is also open.
